Gordon Brown is secretly planning a massive 3p income tax hike. Shocked

http://blogs.notw.co.uk/politics/2009/09/browns-148-billion-tax-grab.html

Treasury documents leaked to the Tories show the PM is poised to claw in an extra £14.3bn, and the huge increase will add £2.770 a year to the average family's tax bill by 2013.

the tories have allready stated that income tax will rise 5pence, the lib dems are saying they will increase national insurance and income tax which in the end it seems labour has more of an idea on how to do the right thing; the tories are going to cut social housing and benefits they have said that the biggest cuts will be on the long term unemployed and the disabled as DLA will be cut completely mobility will no longer run it really does not matter who gets in cuts will have to be made

What a ridiculous article. Firstly, the maths dont add up. Secondly, the journo is assuming that this massive debt will be paid off very quickly.Tory Shadow Chancellor George Osborne said: “Labour’s secret spending plans appear to reveal an income tax bombshell."

Chief Secretary to the Treasury Liam Byrne said: “Osborne’s claims are false. These government tax projections simply set out what is raised by our existing published measures as the economy returns to growth.”

Del you forgot the Tories want to put VAT up to 20% - minimum.

at least most of the banks share prices have shot up dramatically.

RBS was 12p a share when UK plc bought up some equity.

Price now?

56.3p

over 400% profit for Brown/Darling

Funny old world innit ...the politicians are now falling over themselves to impress upon us who is best at weilding the axe.
No promises of good times ahead anymore ...things ....can only get better ....ha ha haaaa.
