Some forums have a live chat section, which is quicker than a messageboard and you post the questions on the live chat, 15 seconds to answer or less

Some forums have a live chat section, which is quicker than a messageboard and you post the questions on the live chat, 15 seconds to answer or less

Id just though about that and i was thinking of posting a question, leaving it for 10 seconds then deleting it so ppl wouldn't have time to google, but a live chat section might work if we can do it on here, so i'll investigate it and thanks Punk.

When we had the pub quiz in JC we did this ..... (courtesy of Nickdb87)

OK, basic rules - Ten rounds of ten questions. I'll put up all the questions together, and you'll have five minutes to post your reply. PLEASE don't use the net to cheat - I know it's tempting, but... And the winner gets the honour of being the Know it all for the week.

Please PM the answers, don't post them on the thread. AND no asking for clues.

The ten rounds are:

1) Science and Technology
2) Food and Drink
3) Music
4) Plants and Animals
5) History
6) Film and TV
7) Geography
8) Sport
9) Books
10) General Knowledge

So for those entering the quiz, can I have the round that you're playing your joker on for double points please?

After each round Nick would put up the correct answers and the scores and at the end the funniest wrong answers - it was similar to live chat (closest we could get on the forum)

i agree 100% MM. this statement strikes a chord with me.


i made a point of setting the sort of questions which ppl would not be able to google easily. they were not too dificult (imo) but they were questions which ppl would have to think deeply about, (and that includes lateral thinking) to arrive at the answer. they were not the sort where you could just get the answers easily from google.


i included grammar, history, geography, science, showbiz, general knowlegde, plus a few trick questions too. and i asked for feedback before the quiz started, to see if anyone had any coments on how to improve our weekly quiz.

With the greatest respect Cans i dont want a quiz where the questions are too difficult cos time is of the essence with the new one, but im sure we can figure something out, i'll pm you later to tell you about it mate.
