On This Day: Birthdays and Events.
Births: David Schwimmer (Ross,Firends) and KD LanG (Singer and feminist)
Deaths: George Bernard Shaw and Eva Cassidy.
Events: 78 die when the Time Go-Go Club in Seoul, South Korea burns down. Six of the victims jumped to their deaths from the seventh floor after a club official barred the doors after the fire started in 1974(Yesterday was the anniversary of the death of 142 mostly teenagers in fire at a nightclub in France in 1970!!!)
South Vietnamese President Ngo Dinh Diem is assassinated following a military coup (1963)

Also, on this day, my deep fat fryer got hotter and hotter then started to explode all over my kitchen! frightened the life out of me so it did!

I'm chucking it in the bin! it's quite new as well! but obviously the thermo's broken. Really scared me! hot fat going everywhere!

1991: The daily Mirror boss Robert Maxwell was found dead in the sea, in mysterious circumsatnces, after disappearing off his yatch.

On this day someone decided to take matters into their own hands over MP's expenses claims ...after hearing that one of the bastards had claimed forty groats to have his arse licked ...so he tried to blow the lot of them up today ...nov the fifth.
