Beware mistaken identity.

A few weeks ago I saw someone posting with my username a couple of times on sleeping dogs forum. It wasn't me, I have never posted on the old or the
new SD forums (neither as myself nor as a guest).


I also heard that someone posting as "Canny" has sometimes appeared on SOL forum. I have never even lurked at SOL forum, never mind posted there. I wouldn't normally care, but sometimes complete strangers speak to me as if they already know me very well.




Has 'mistaken ID' ever happened to other posters?

I don't think the Canny on SOL is impersonating you - probably just a coincidence.

Edna from Bitchfest posted as me on the Mirror. She used the name "Sunbeam" but signed her posts "Fenella". That's why I joined there in the first place. Edna (or one of her cronies) also posted as me on Bitchfest.

Some people thought it really was me and told me off for some things which "I" had said.

She (or one of her cronies) has also posted as me on Bitchfest under the name of "Cindra". Someone on another forum had a right go at me because they really believed it was me and they thought I was a Fester.

heck, i have enough saddoes on my back taking issue with me for things i am supposed to have said/done, without random strangers jumping on my back for things i haven't said in forums i 've never posted in!!!

You mean that silly woman who joined Monkey I suppose. She used to post on SOL so she probably just thought you were the same Canny. I don't think I've read any posts by the SOL "Canny", so I don't know if she's like you. I doubt it as you're quite unique.

oh and the brain -dead dimwits who ran "a certain forum" accused one poor poster called zia/buddyG of being CannyG, and banned her!!



everyone was jumping up and down and saying "buddyG is canny!"
when the forum owners found out the true ID of zia/buddyG, they carried on with the lie that it was me, rather than have egg on their faces.


for the record, i have NEVER been back to SOB's forum under a pretend name, since i got banned from there. NEVER!



the real zia/buddyG came forwardand admitted zia/buddyGwas her. i believe she runs her own forum. i don't know her. they should have aplologised to buddyG AND to me too. pigs will fly, huh?

Zia/Buddy was Edna (again). Edna makes a habit of impersonating other people. I doubt she was on SBS for "moral" purposes, so there was no need for anyone to apologise to her.

I have that from a very good source.

Some con merchant has also has been posting as Brad on A/Monkey, but what let him/her down was his/her spelling. Brad don't make spelling mistakes.

Call in the Yard, they'll solve who these impostors are.

She's probably behind some of the 'Lexi's' too! she doesn't like me!

I'd be flattered if someone pretended to be me ...I've never reached the dizzy hights of noteriety though that you lot have.

The only mistaken identity I can remember was a rather nasty violent one.
In a far away land on a very hot night.
The woman behind the bar started screaming and pointing at a group of men ...she was hysterical ...the men protested loudly and violently ...the police got heavy ...we were away.
