The sad truth is Afghanistan is a country that has been ravaged by all sides, from time immemorial, mostly because of it's geographic importance. Our politics is a cruel game for their people.

This war is not about womens rights.
Funny how this war is sold to us as being an anti terror war when all the bases are being built exactly along the line of the oil pipeline which was planned and decided upon well before 911.
In fact the Taliban were offered a carpet of gold to protect the pipeline ...they refused.
Terror training camps?
We saw pictures of them ...a few rolls of rusty barbed wire and some even rustier monkey bars.
These were used for the training of terrorists against ...Egypt ...Suadi Arabia ...Palestine ...the people training there were training to fight against their own governments.

there is no pipeline..the proposed pipeline was abandoned before Bush even took office.
you act like getting a construction contract to build a pipeline is some earth shaking gold mine or something.
we have companies that build plenty of pipelines on this side of the earth and it doesnt take a war to get it done.
